Thank you to everyone that came out and joined us for our latest public meeting, held on April 1st, to talk about the next steps in the Alameda Meadows and McClintock Neighborhood Alley Design Project!
The public survey deadline has been extended through April 25th. Please use the link at the top or bottom of the page to respond.
Thank you for your feedback!
We aim to transform the unused alley from Los Feliz Drive to McClintock Drive into a vibrant community space. This project will boost connectivity in Tempe, providing access to Selleh Park and a future Reflector BikeIT path at Los Feliz. Beyond just a path, we envision this alley as a shady, inviting spot for walking, jogging, and other micro-mobility activities.
Key Features:
Community Involvement:
As has been done on previous projects, the community will be engaged through public outreach, using visual design concepts and collecting your feedback. Future designs will accommodate existing services, like waste collection, and maintain access to utilities and easements.
We believe this site has the potential to become a great recreational and transportation area. By integrating Green Stormwater Infrastructure, such as site grading, basins, and water harvesting features, this project can set an example of Urban Cooling with practical uses, similar to Country Club Way, the El Paso Gas Line Trail, and College Avenue (green infrastructure section).
Join us in transforming this alley into a vibrant, usable space for everyone!
